Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Food preparation: Chop, slice, season, and prepare ingredients like vegetables, meats, and fish. Make basic salads and sauces.
• Kitchen support: Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, and follow all health and safety standards.
• Stock and inventory: Receive and store deliveries, restock supplies, and manage stock rotation to ensure freshness. Discard expired food.
• Assisting senior chef: Follow instructions from chefs. Help with cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes.
• Equipment maintenance: Operate and help maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.
