Job Description

Responsibilities

Senior Executive, Building & Environment – Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the maintenance of plant facilities, including buildings, roads, landscaping, and supporting amenities to ensure optimal functionality and appearance.
  • Drive and execute facility improvement projects, including upgrades, renovations, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and sustainability.
  • Ensure all facility installations and operations comply with local regulatory requirements, statutory obligations, and authority approvals (e.g., DOSH, DOE, Bomba, ST).
  • Work closely with the Safety & Health team to ensure all maintenance activities comply with Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) and environmental standards.
  • Supervise and guide a team of engineers in planning and executing preventive maintenance (PM) programs for facility systems (e.g., lifting equipment, roller shutters, utilities).
  • Develop and implement facility management programs aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and company environmental, quality, and OSH standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, audits, and internal reviews.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections, identify non-conformities, and escalate issues to management for timely corrective actions.
  • Plan and lead regular meetings to ensure ongoing compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and company-specific guidelines (e.g., Honda standards).
  • Manage environmental compliance activities, including Scheduled Waste handling, Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations, and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Liaise with government authorities, consultants, and contractors to obtain approvals and ensure smooth implementation of facility-related projects.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, refurbishment, and renovation works, ensuring quality, safety, and timely project completion.
  • Drive best practices and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen) to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor sourcing, including quotation requests, tender evaluation, and contractor selection.
  • Supervise contractors on-site, ensuring strict adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies during project execution.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for facility maintenance, environmental programs, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans for facility expansion, system upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Support management in preparing routine and ad-hoc reports, as well as investment proposals for system improvements or replacements.
  • Demonstrate strong project management capability, handling multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Act as the Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making.
  • Undertake additional duties, projects, or assignments as required by management from time to time.

Pay: From RM5,000.00 per month
