Job Overview:
The Project Costing Executive is responsible for preparing and reviewing product costings, customer quotations, and pricing proposals. The role involves analyzing cost and margin changes, supporting cost-saving initiatives, and working with various departments to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. The position also assists in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing CAPEX submissions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, computation, and review of customer RFQs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations on various pricing proposals, including complex or high-value cases.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.) to develop competitive and sustainable product/process pricing.
- Conduct detailed analysis on cost fluctuations and customer/product margin performance, identifying key drivers and improvement opportunities.
- Initiate, support, and monitor cost-saving initiatives and continuous business improvement strategies.
- Drive automation and enhancement of pricing and costing processes, including development of templates, tools, and standardized workflows.
- Provide financial support in forecasting, budgeting, and operating cost analysis to aid management decision-making.
- Review, prepare, and submit Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) applications to headquarters, ensuring compliance with corporate requirements.
- Handle special/ad-hoc assignments, financial analyses, and reporting tasks as required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by superior from time to time.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in costing and manufacturing cost accounting; candidates with stronger experience will have an added advantage.
- Mandarin speakers preferred to support job-related communication needs.
- Strong analytical ability with proficiency in handling large data sets using advanced Excel and relevant analytical tools.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; proactive, committed, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels and work independently under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
