Responsibilities
Company Description Books For A Better World (BFBW) is a social enterprise committed to advancing literacy, sustainability, and community impact through books. The organization gives preloved books a second life by curating them into self-service bookshops across Malaysia, offering affordable titles that make reading accessible to more people while reducing waste. BFBW also runs donation programs for individuals and corporations, sets up “Pages-With-Purpose” reading corners in public spaces, and collaborates with CSR partners to support literacy and education initiatives. Through these efforts, BFBW provides books to communities in need, including schools, refugee learning centers, and Orang Asli villages. With more than a dozen and growing outlets, BFBW is building a nationwide movement to make reading both impactful and sustainable.
What you'll actually do
- Drive books around the Klang Valley. A lot. More than you'd expect.
- Pack, sort, label, load, unload, repeat. Think of it as a gym membership - but productive.
- Set up pop-up booths & book fairs. Lift shelves, arrange books, pretend it's easy.
- Work directly with the Founder (hi, that's me) to keep ops tight and costs low.
- Handle whatever chaos the day throws at you. Without losing your chill.
You're probably a fit if...
- You have a valid driving license and aren't scared of Klang Valley traffic.. we’ll provide you with a company car, our X-Trail
- You have at least SPM. Knowing what a book is helps.
- You're organised, reliable, and don't need chasing for updates.
- You genuinely care about literacy, community, or at least books. Either works.
- You're a nice person. We check for this.
