About the role

We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As an Intermediate Interior Designer, you will play a key role in developing and executing interior design concepts for a variety of commercial and residential projects. You will work collaboratively with senior designers, architects, and clients to transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. This position offers the opportunity to expand your design expertise whilst contributing meaningfully to projects that impact how people experience their built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and presentation materials for residential and commercial projects.

• Prepare drawings, mood boards, and 3D visualizations using design software and presentation tools.

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure project progress meets design expectations.

• Attend client meetings and site visits to monitor project quality, timelines, and installation work.

• Support budgeting, material selection, and project documentation throughout the design process.

• Perform relevant tasks assigned by superior or management

• Training will be provided

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline

• 3–5 years of professional experience in interior design, demonstrating progression to an intermediate level

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programmes

• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards relevant to interior spaces

• Excellent spatial reasoning and the ability to visualise and communicate design concepts effectively

• Experience in both commercial and residential interior design projects, or strong expertise in one sector

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and team members

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst managing multiple projects

• Professional certification or membership with a recognised interior design body (preferred)

• Experience with 3D rendering software such as 3ds Max, V-Ray, or Lumion (preferred)
