About the role
We are seeking an experienced Planner to join Kanhseei Teckh Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our production and logistics operations. As Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, managing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient coordination between manufacturing, procurement, and distribution functions. This role is integral to our company's ability to meet customer demands whilst maintaining cost efficiency and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and available resources
Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure production timelines are met and resource utilisation is optimised
Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to maintain appropriate stock whilst minimising carrying costs
Analyse production data and supply chain metrics to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
Liaise with sales, procurement, and logistics departments to ensure alignment on delivery timelines and resource requirements
Prepare detailed reports on production performance, scheduling adherence, and capacity utilisation for management review
Manage material requirements planning (MRP) systems and ensure accurate data entry and system maintenance
Respond to urgent orders and production changes whilst maintaining schedule integrity
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
What we're looking for
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination
Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
Demonstrated experience with AUTOCOUNT systems
Knowledge of inventory management principles and demand forecasting techniques
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Experience in manufacturing or logistics industries is highly desirable
