Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and dependable Payroll Executive to manage end-to-end payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for employees. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll administration, statutory compliance, and employee compensation matters.

The ideal candidate should possess at least 2 years of relevant payroll experience and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing

  • Execute monthly payroll processing accurately and within established timelines.

  • Verify payroll-related data including attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions, claims, and other payroll transactions.

  • Ensure accurate computation of salaries, benefits, and statutory deductions.

  • Maintain and update employee payroll records within the HRIS and payroll systems.

Statutory Compliance

  • Manage statutory submissions and payments including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare payroll-related reports and statutory schedules for submission to relevant authorities.

  • Ensure payroll processes comply with current employment laws and regulations.

Employee Support
  • Address employee enquiries related to payroll, salary payments, statutory deductions, and compensation matters.

  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Support payroll-related activities during employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and management reports as required.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

  • Assist with internal and external audits relating to payroll administration.

Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and operational efficiency.

  • Support payroll system enhancements and HR-related projects when required.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in payroll administration.

  • Experience managing end-to-end payroll processing is essential.

  • Experience handling payroll for medium to large workforce populations will be an added advantage.

  • Experience using SAP Successfactors.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian payroll legislation and statutory requirements, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and Employment Act provisions.

  • Familiarity with payroll systems and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
