We are seeking a skilled COBOL Developer to design develop enhance and maintain enterprise-level mainframe applications The role involves working on missioncritical systems primarily supporting core banking financial or insurance platforms while ensuring high reliability performance and data integrity

 Key Responsibilities

 Application Development  Maintenance

•  Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using COBOL
•  Develop enhance and maintain batch and online COBOL programs
•  Modify and support existing legacy systems with minimal disruption
•  Perform impact analysis for system changes and enhancements
•  Ensure applications meet performance reliability and security standards

 Mainframe  System Support

•  Work with IBM Mainframe zOS environments
•  Develop and maintain programs using COBOL JCL VSAM
•  Debug and resolve production incidents and batch failures
•  Support endofday endofmonth and endofyear batch cycles
•  Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams

 Data  Integration

•  Write and optimize DB2  SQL queries for data access and reporting
•  Handle file processing using VSAM Sequential and Flat files
•  Support integration with downstream and upstream systems
•  Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems

 Quality  Delivery

•  Conduct unit testing and support system and UAT testing
•  Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards
•  Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
•  Work in Agile or Waterfall development methodologies
