We are seeking a highly skilled and field-oriented Geologist with strong expertise in alluvial (placer) deposits, particularly in gold exploration and evaluation, to join our mining operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct alluvial and placer deposit exploration, evaluation, and resource assessment
• Perform field mapping, logging, and sampling of sedimentary and gravel deposits
• Identify and evaluate gold-bearing (pay) gravels and stratigraphic layers
• Plan and supervise auger drilling / bank drilling programs
• Analyze sediment transport, deposition processes, and heavy mineral concentration
• Work closely with mining operations and processing plant teams (sluice, jig, recovery systems)
• Prepare geological reports, data interpretation, and recommendations for mining operations

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant geology experience
• Proven hands-on field experience in alluvial / placer deposits (gold preferred)
• Strong exposure to exploration and evaluation techniques

Technical Competency

Strong understanding of:

• Alluvial stratigraphy
• Sediment transport and deposition
• Placer gold systems and recovery methods

Added advantage:

• Operational Knowledge
• Familiar with alluvial mining methods - Gravel pump mining, Dredging & Open-pit alluvial mining
