Job Description

• Position: Senior Production Engineer (Stamping)
• Well Established Singapore Manufacturing MNC
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:15am – 6:00pm)
• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to RM7,500 + AWS + Performance Bonus
• Monthly Transport Allowance of RM50 Provided
• Annual Increment Based on Performance Review

Main Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure targets are met according to the schedule.
• Manage and mentor all operators, senior/junior tool makers and bending technicians.
• Organize shift schedules and manpower distribution to meet daily production targets set by the department.
• Conduct technical training and performance evaluations to upgrade the team’s competency in tool maintenance and complex bending setups.
• Oversee all bending operations, ensuring optimal tool selection, program efficiency and bending sequence to minimize setup time and scrap.
• Manage the setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of stamping presses to ensure consistent high-speed production.
• Lead the Tool Room team in preventive maintenance and rapid repair of stamping dies to ensure zero production downtime.
• Ensure all stamped and bent components meet rigorous dimensional tolerances and aesthetic standards.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce cycle times, optimize material utilization, and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Collaborate with PIE (Process Improvement Engineering) to review product designs for manufacturability (DFM) and provide technical feedback on tooling feasibility.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in the metal stamping and fabrication industry.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of stamping tools.
• Deep proficiency in bending operations and NC programming.
• Strong understanding of material properties (steel, copper, aluminum) and their behavior during stamping / bending.
• Strong leadership, excellent problem-solving abilities under high-pressure deadlines, and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
