What You Will Actually Do

Own and shape PayNet’s future‑state infrastructure architecture across compute, storage, virtualization, and backup.
Design and operate highly available, low‑latency virtualization platforms supporting mission‑critical payment systems.
Lead multi‑year migrations of core services (e.g., DuitNow, FPX, JomPAY) with minimal disruption.
Build automation frameworks that enable repeatable, secure, and scalable infrastructure operations.
Drive observability and performance management to ensure capacity, reliability, and uptime.
Act as technical lead across deployment, integration, and cross‑functional infrastructure initiatives.

Examples of This Role in Practice

Designing a new virtualization platform and migrating live payment services without customer impact.
Automating patching and hardening across hundreds of servers to reduce operational risk.
Diagnosing performance bottlenecks during peak transaction periods and resolving them permanently.
Partnering with security and network teams to implement resilient, compliant infrastructure designs.

Required

What Will Help You Succeed

Strong hands‑on experience with RedHat Linux and Windows Server in production environments.
Proven ability to design and deploy highly available virtualization platforms from the ground up.
Experience automating infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Practical experience with enterprise platforms such as Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, Jenkins, Terraform, and monitoring tools.

Helpful

Certifications such as RHCE or LPIC demonstrating advanced Linux expertise.
Experience in financial services or telecommunications with strict uptime and security requirements.
Exposure to AWS or GCP, particularly in hybrid infrastructure environments.
Familiarity with modern CI/CD, monitoring, and logging stacks (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
Experience supporting enterprise application and web platforms (e.g., Nginx, HAProxy, JBoss, WebLogic).
