MANAGER/ SENIOR MANAGER - Electrical and Motion Control (Hardware/Technical/ Engineering/ Automation/ Control/Mechatronics/R&D)

Our client is a leading organisation specialised in developing Semiconductor machines.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage Motion Control, Electrical Hardware, and Electrical Design team, providing both people and technical leadership.

• Define overall technical direction for motion control systems and electrical hardware architecture for semiconductor equipment.
• Guide motion control modelling, control algorithms, and system analysis for high-speed,high-precision applications.
• Oversee electrical schematic design, power electronics, motor drivers, and control boards.
• Support new product development from concept, design, prototype, Alpha/Beta testing through product release.
• Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, cost, and schedule targets.
• Establish and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
• Review and approve key technical designs and resolve complex technical issues.
• Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, Applications, QA).

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, semiconductor equipment, or precision machinery industry.
• Expertise in motion control modeling and algorithms for ultra-high speed and high accuracy applications.
• Proficient in control system analysis and design, including servo motor and motion control systems.
• Strong knowledge of digital electronics and power electronics design, including power supplies and motor drivers.
• Familiarity with analytical and simulation tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, or equivalents.
• Understanding of electromagnetic technology for motor design.
