Job Description: Appian Developer

Experience: 7 Years Experience

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Appian BPM applications (SAIL, Process Models, CDTs, Records, Sites).
• Build responsive and user-friendly SAIL interfaces.
• Develop and optimize Appian process flows, data models, and integrations.
• Implement integrations using Web APIs, REST/SOAP and database connectors.
• Collaborate with BAs, QA, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Analyze requirements, estimate effort, and contribute to sprint planning.
• Troubleshoot issues and support production deployments.
• Ensure adherence to security, performance, and Appian design standards.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years hands-on experience in Appian BPM development.
• Strong expertise in:

• Appian SAIL
• Process Model Design
• CDTs & Data Stores
• Appian Records
• Appian Sites
• Appian Reports
• Appian Web APIs

• Experience working on REST/SOAP integrations.
• Strong SQL knowledge and RDBMS experience.
• Experience on Appian versions 21.x or above.
• Solid understanding of Appian best practices, performance tuning, and deployment processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Appian Level 1 or Level 2 Certification.
• Experience with Appian RPA or Process Mining.
• Knowledge of Java for custom plug-in development.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins).
• Cloud knowledge (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Experience with Appian Administration activities.
