Position Description

Drive growth of the Project Cargo business across the Pacific region through proactive business development, strategic customer acquisition, and strong commercial ownership.

This is a hands-on commercial role focused on generating and converting new business opportunities, particularly in project cargo sectors such as renewables, infrastructure, and industrial projects, drawing on experience in freight forwarding or project logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Revenue Growth
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new project cargo opportunities across the Pacific region
  • Build and actively manage a robust sales pipeline across target industries e.g. renewable energy, oil & gas, infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and execute account plans for key target clients and strategic prospects
  • Lead commercial negotiations and closing of complex project cargo deals
  • Drive conversion from spot opportunities into repeat and contract business
  • Market Intelligence & Commercial Strategy
  • Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and customer pipelines within project cargo segments
  • Provide actionable market intelligence to support trade, pricing, and deployment strategies
  • Contribute to regional project cargo growth strategy and market positioning
  • Proactively identify emerging cargo flows and new business verticals
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with customers, freight forwarders, EPC players, and project owners
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver competitive solutions
  • Commercial Execution & Deal Support
  • Lead development of competitive project cargo solutions
  • Ensure timely and high-quality response to RFQs and tenders
  • Support contract structuring, pricing strategies, and risk assessment
  • Track and report pipeline development, win rates, and revenue performance
  • Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with regional and global project cargo teams
  • Ensure alignment between commercial commitments and operational execution
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in project cargo processes, pricing discipline, and customer response quality

Profile & Requirements

Experience

  • Strong experience in project cargo / breakbulk / heavy lift logistics
  • Proven track record in business development
  • Background in project logistics, or EPC-facing roles strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and close complex logistics deals
