Job Responsibilities:

• Carrying out maintenance, service and repair of all mechanical equipment (Diesel Engines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, alternators, turbochargers, etc) on board all vessels as assigned by Workshop Manager
• Troubleshooting all the Mechanical equipment on board vessels
• Planning and executing the repair job in the most cost-effective method
• Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and cleanliness in the workshop
• Attending to vessels Dry-dock as assigned by workshop Manager
• Carrying out any Retrofit job for new equipment installation on board vessels
• Any other duties as assigned by workshop manager and Management

Job Requirements:

We are looking for a person with Integrity, Commitment and Competency.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering / COC class III (Engine) from a recognized institution with 5 or more years of experience in relevant engineering
• Able to read drawings and write service reports using PC or tablet
• A Hands-on person who like to work on site, on ship and in workshop
• Willing to sail on board vessels as riding Mechanical Engineer when required
• Willing to travel overseas when assigned
• Good working attitude and team player
• Able to work under pressure and tight schedule
• Good experience working on high speed and medium speed diesel engines such as Cummins, Daihatsu, Hanshin, Akasaka, Caterpillar, Yanmar and others
