Job Description

Requirements

A Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent

Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role in the Automotive/Operations industry.

Have strong knowledge and experience in Malaysia Employment Law and Industrial Law.

Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with all levels.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of driving HR initiatives and achieving results.

Independent and can work with minimum supervision and guidance.

Fluent in using HR software would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

Staffing – Recruitment & Selection 

  1. To fulfil talent needs for the organisation by implementing strategies for recruitment and measuring retention and turnover rates.
  2. Responsible for updating HR policies and overseeing hiring processes.
  3. To ensure all staff receive an employment contract timely and are registered at the labor office. 

Compensations And Benefits 

  1. To advise Head of Departments on employee salary guideline and compensation benefits benchmark / aligned with industry market data. 
  2. Develop and maintain the Policy and Programs for Employee Compensation and Benefits. 
  3. Manage HRIS, Staff Payroll, Income Tax Payment, Health Care, and Insurance Programs are in line with Company Policy and Country Laws. 
  4. Ensure staff payroll and reports are prepared timely, correctly and the practices are in line with company policy and country laws. 
  5. Ensure all salary and benefits payments are documented and in line with internal/external audit requirement. Also, ensure benefits files are maintained and benefits database and employee payroll records are updated. 

Personnel administration & operations 

  1. Developing fair HR policies and ensuring employees understand and comply with them. 
  2. Updating company organization charts, staff Job Description and Key Performance Index. 
  3. Manage procurement of office stationery, sundry and furniture, and procurement practices are in line with company policy and audit requirements. 
  4. Responsible for staff safety and ensure its compliance.

Industrial Relations

  1. Act as a liaison between employees and management to address and resolve workplace concerns and conflicts.
  2. Responsible for Industrial Relations activities including handling disciplinary cases and advising management on best practices.
  3. Manage employees’ grievances, investigate employee issues and conflict and as well as participate the domestic inquiries (DI) as a prosecutor.

4. Responsible to liaise and handle HR-related matters with governmental / authority departments such as Department of Labour (JTK) & Industrial Relations Department (IR).

Performance Management Process & System 

  1. To work with each head of division to develop in depth Performance Management Process (PMP) for better staff understanding 
  2. To explore any HR system to further improve efficiency and productivity and partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
  3. Implement and assist Head of Departments on employee performance review procedures (e.g. monthly, quarterly/annual and 360 evaluations) 
  4. Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees.
