Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Business Development Manager to drive growth through strategic partnerships, targeted sales campaigns, and impactful industry events. In this mid-level role, you will be the primary bridge between our company and our key partners in the financial sector. The ideal candidate has strong execution skills, knows how to navigate the financial industry, and is ready to roll up their sleeves to ensure mutual growth, operational alignment, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnerships:

  • Identify, build, and maintain strong, day-to-day relationships with key business partners, specifically within the life insurance and investment sectors.

Sales Campaigns & Execution:

  • Hands-on design, execution, and management of end-to-end sales campaigns to drive revenue, increase partner engagement, and meet quarterly growth targets.

Event & Budget Management:

  • Actively plan and run promotional events, networking sessions, and seminars. Manage the allocated budget for these initiatives to ensure cost-effectiveness and maximum ROI.

Contract & Commercial Negotiation:

  • Drive end-to-end commercial discussions, assisting in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of partnership agreements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal marketing, product, and compliance teams to ensure all partner initiatives and campaigns are aligned with company objectives and industry regulations.

Performance Tracking

  • Monitor campaign success, analyze data to optimize future strategies, and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to report progress to internal stakeholders and partner leadership.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay current on trends within the life insurance and investment industries to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in business development, B2B sales, or partnership management (this is a hands-on, individual contributor role).
  • Prior experience working directly with or within the financial services, life insurance, or investment industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently conceptualize, budget for, and execute successful sales campaigns and corporate events from the ground up.
  • Experience training or enabling external partner sales teams is highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and managing partnership agreements.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
