Job Summary
You will provide administrative and operational support to the Commodities Trading team, assisting with import/export documentation, coordinating logistics, maintaining records, and improving operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with processing import/export documentation and managing customs clearance procedures to ensure compliance and timely shipments
- Coordinate logistics by liaising with shipping companies and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth movement of commodities
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to commodities trading activities to support operational transparency and reporting
- Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks to support team efficiency and daily operations
- Identify and contribute to improvements in operational processes and procedures to enhance workflow and productivity
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in administrative or operational roles, preferably in import/export or commodities trading industries
- Ability to organise tasks effectively, multitask, and prioritise workload in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal teams and external partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, to manage data and presentations
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement solutions
- Adaptability and flexibility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment
