Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Salary & Benefits:

  • Monthly Salary: $2,700.00-$3,200.00

Probation Period:

  • First 3 months

Work Schedule:

  • Working Days: 5 days per week
  • Daily Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Weekly Breakdown:Friday: Prep day
    Saturday: Cooking/Packing day
    Monday: Prep day
    Tuesday: Cooking/Packing day
    Wednesday: Kitchen cleaning/Preparation for next cycle service
  • Off Days: Sunday & Thursday
  • Note: Ending times may vary based on order volume and team completion of tasks.
    Work on public holidays is required.

Job Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Operational Duties: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of food stations.
    Set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment.
    Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
  • Food Preparation & Quality Control: Prepare ingredients following established SOPs (training will be provided).
    Ensure high-quality presentation of dishes.
    Check and monitor the quality of ingredients.
    Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
  • Packing & Order Fulfillment: Pack bento meals accurately based on customer orders.
  • Team Support: Assist with any ad-hoc tasks as requested by the head chef.
    Participate in maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout the kitchen.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen setting with a focus on maintaining high-quality and safety standards.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    Strong passion for culinary arts with an eagerness to learn various cooking techniques and menu development.
    Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
    Ability to follow strict hygiene procedures.
    Proven ability to work effectively within a team.
    Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
    High physical stamina and the capacity for manual labor.
  • Customer Focus: A genuine love for delighting customers through quality food and service.
