Job Description
Responsibilities
We are looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Library Operations Assistant to support daily library operations and ensure a positive experience for patrons. This role involves shelving, handling library materials, and assisting with basic operational and programme support tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Provide frontline customer service to library patrons
Shelve returned and browsed library materials accurately
Process book reservations and assist with dispatch activities
Support set-up and logistics for library programmes and events
Carry out other operational duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Comfortable with tasks involving standing, bending, and light physical movement
Able to work on a rostered schedule, including weekdays and weekends
Open to rotating shifts
Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude
Key Information
Working Hours:
Rotating roster (3 work days, 1 off, 3 work days, 1 off)
Shift hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm or 1:00pm – 9:00pm
Gross: $1900 - $2000
