Exciting opportunities at NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG: We are expanding our Secondary in opening a state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre (August 2026) offering IBDP, A-Levels, and BTEC programmes.
We are seeking passionate Library Assistant to inspire student-led learning and leave a lasting legacy.
NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG is looking to recruit a LIBRARY ASSISTANT to join our Secondary team, to drive excellent teaching and learning.

The role:
As a qualified Library Assistant your focus will be to:
§ Open communication and feedback to the class teacher.
§ Have positive relationships with parents and the local community.
§ Support School Librarian in the management of the school library.
§ Maintain school library via shelving books, shelf-checking and book repairs.
§ Assist students in using the library and resources.
§ Undertake routine tasks as required, such as borrowing and returning books and cataloguing.
§ Assist in collection development, such as weeding, collection analysis and acquisitions.
§ Assist in creating dynamic library displays
§ Maintain confidentiality.
§ Maintain professional standards especially in dress, punctuality and attendance.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
§ Tertiary education or vocational training
§ Excellent written and spoke English
§ Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the wider school community
§ Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
§ Experience of working with children in different settings
§ Knowledge of Oliver Library System
§ Knowledge of Children and young adult literature
§ Knowledge of the National Curriculum
§ Knowledge of Child Protection or Safeguarding procedures
§ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
§ Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
§ Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
§ Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
§ Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
§ You’d like to work in a purpose-led sector.
§ Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
§ Compliance with visa requirements for working.
§ A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.

Selection Process
