Job Description

Responsibilities

The Finance Manager reports to the Regional Commercial & Finance Lead (GCNA). The role is responsible to support the end-to-end delivery of finance activities for a globally recognised banking and financial services sector client to enable the achievement of their real estate goals. The role will carry out a variety of end of month accounting and finance-related activities and will be required to liaise effectively with facilities, real estate services and project management peers, both within Hong Kong and regionally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the development, delivery and review of the client’s annual budget and monthly forecasting for Hong Kong

Working closely with operations teams to build and validate annual bottom-up budgets.

Identification of potential risks impacting the full year budget and capturing those within monthly forecasts

Manage and execute core financial processes including but not limited to month-end close activities (including journals/accruals and P&L review/commentary), budgeting, forecasting, billing review, financial reconciliations and compliance activities within agreed timelines.

Prepare, review and validate financial information to ensure accuracy, completeness and alignment with internal and external reporting requirements.

Drive efficiency and productivity through the standardisation and optimisation of processes where appropriate.

Ensure compliance with all necessary SOX audit controls.

Foster a culture of collaboration, responsiveness and continuous improvement within the team

Provide clear and concise commercial and financial advice to stakeholders at all levels to facilitate an enhanced level of decision making (acting as proactive business partners – working closely with operations).

Provision of billing support and receivables management from a Cushman & Wakefield corporate perspective.

Provision of budgeting and forecasting support from a Cushman & Wakefield corporate perspective.

Provision of mentoring and support to internal customers from all streams including direct reports.

Provision and maintenance of substantiating documentation to support balance sheet reconciliations.

Solve complex issues (including taxation), address ad hoc internal and client requests and make recommendations on resolutions in the event of escalations.

Working closely with operations and procurement to ensure vendor compliance as it relates to the timely submission of invoices.

Working across multiple financial systems to carry out the above tasks.

Ability to work with large datasets and transactional volumes while maintaining/ensuring accuracy.

Capacity to deal with ambiguity and address problems within a changing work environment.

Experience working with remote teams will be beneficial.

Experience working with Yardi Voyager is highly desirable.

Experience working within a highly commercial environment where stakeholder engagement and exposure to working with senior management is required

Focus on business partnering and the provision of a high-quality service.

Focus on proactive engagement with all stakeholders – relationship management and responsiveness are critical.

Focus on improving business processes to increase productivity.

Property/commercial real estate industry experience will be viewed favourably.

Understanding of FM/Workplace operations is desirable.

REQUIREMENTS:
Business level English language proficiency.

Demonstrated experience managing teams will be viewed favourably.

Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in a finance manager or senior property accounting role.

Strong IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint and BI tools.

Able to bring clarity and prioritisation to a busy and time‑sensitive environment.

Ability to work autonomously and make decisions whilst working to tight deadlines.

Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

Inquisitive nature and a desire to learn (a growth mindset).

Takes a continuous improvement approach and treats all people with courtesy and respect.
