Job Description

Responsibilities

Ensure FIS / FIS3 schedule information is accurate, timely, and reliable to support operational execution, commercial visibility, and customer reliability. Support FIS3 adoption, process streamlining, and practical automation or semi-automation to reduce manual handling and enable proactive schedule monitoring.

Scheduling Data Control:

  • Maintain FIS / FIS3 schedule information, including coastal schedules, LTS amendments, vessel particulars, RVT, DP voyages, schedule amendments, and ETA / ETB / ETD updates.

  • Identify and rectify schedule data gaps early to minimise operational, commercial, and customer impact.

 

FIS3 Adoption and Process Improvement:

  • Build strong working knowledge of FIS3 workflows, data logic, and system capabilities.
  • Support transition activities including workflow review, testing, validation, documentation, and post-implementation stabilisation.
  • Recommend practical improvements to simplify, standardise, and streamline scheduling work.

 

Automation and Proactive Monitoring:

  • Identify repetitive manual tasks that can be automated, semi-automated, or supported by validation rules, reports, dashboards, or alerts.
  • Use exception-based monitoring to detect missing updates, inconsistencies, late amendments, and other data quality issues.
  • Coordinate and communicate clearly with Marine Operations, Network Execution, Terminal Performance, Commercial, Customer Service, partner lines, and relevant stakeholders.

 

Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Marine Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Business, Information Systems, or related field, with 3–5 years of relevant experience; equivalent working experience may be considered.

  • Experience in vessel operations, scheduling, marine operations, or related functions.

  • Knowledge of FIS / FIS3 scheduling processes, or ability to learn system workflows quickly.

  • Good understanding of schedule data, voyage structures, vessel particulars, RVT, DP voyages, ETA, ETB and ETD logic.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Basic to intermediate automation literacy, such as Excel VBA, Python, Power Query, Power Automate, SQL, or equivalent tools.

  • Able to understand process logic, data validation rules, exception handling, and simple automation concepts.

  • Strong attention to detail, structured working style, and clear stakeholder communication.

Advantageous:

  • Experience in process improvement, workflow documentation, user acceptance testing, reporting automation, dashboarding, or data validation.
  • Experience working with IT, process owners, or system teams to translate operational needs into system or automation improvements.
