Project & Technical Director (C&I)

Location: Selangor (HQ) | Travel: within Malaysia

Working Hours: 5.5 Days per week

Specialization: Electrical Engineering (Commercial & Industrial Solar / Infrastructure)

Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary and high-caliber Project & Technical Director to lead our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) portfolio across Malaysia. Based in Selangor, you will oversee the full lifecycle of engineering design, technical compliance, and project execution. This role demands a blend of strong technical leadership, robust project governance, and the ability to manage nationwide project deployments seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Oversee and drive the execution of multiple concurrent C&I solar/engineering projects across Malaysia, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

• Technical Governance: Lead the engineering team in reviewing electrical designs, system architectures, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with local regulations (ST, TNB, SEDA).

• Resource & Budget Optimization: Manage P&L responsibilities for the C&I division, optimizing resource allocation, procurement strategies, and vendor selections.

• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison for corporate clients, local authorities, and key subcontractors to ensure smooth project integration.

• Quality & Safety Assurance: Enforce strict QA/QC standards and HSE policies across all active project sites nationwide.
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (recognized by BEM).

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in engineering management, with a strong track record in C&I solar PV projects.

• Proven capability in managing multi-site, nationwide project portfolios.

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and high-level problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to commit to a 5.5-day work week and travel frequently across Malaysia as required.

Location: Project-Based (Perak / Kuantan / Pahang / Kedah / Kelantan)

Working Hours: 6 Days per week (Site-Based)

Specialization: Large Scale Solar (LSS) / Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Background: Electrical or Civil & Structural (C&S) Engineering

Position Overview

We are recruiting dynamic, site-focused project leaders at various seniority levels (PM / CM / APM) to spearhead our upcoming Large Scale Solar (LSS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) plants. These are fast-paced, site-based roles requiring hands-on coordination of civil, structural, and electrical works to bring major renewable energy infrastructures online.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Execution & Management: Oversee daily site operations, construction progress, and structural/electrical installations for LSS and BESS facilities.

• Timeline Execution: Track project milestones against the master construction schedule, proactively mitigating delays and managing variations.

• Subcontractor Coordination: Supervise and coordinate sub-contractors, civil workers, and testing & commissioning (T&C) teams on-site.

• Technical Alignment: Bridge the gap between engineering drawings and actual site installation, solving interface conflicts between C&S foundations and Electrical infrastructure (inverters, transformers, BESS enclosures).

• Safety & Compliance: Maintain zero-harm site environments by enforcing strict compliance with DOSH, CIDB, and environmental regulations.
  
  

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Civil & Structural (C&S) Engineering.

• Proven experience in LSS (Large Scale Solar) or BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects is highly critical for senior levels.

• Familiarity with heavy infrastructure construction, earthworks, piling, structural mounting, or high-voltage (HV/MV) substation testing.

• Strong communication skills to manage local site dynamics, village leaders, and local authorities.

• Must be fully comitted with a 6-day work week and being stationed directly at the project site.
