Role Description

This full-time hybrid role, located in Johor Bahru with some flexibility for remote work, is for a Technical Engineer at Triple S Maritime. The Technical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing marine technical projects, maintaining and troubleshooting ship equipment, coordinating inspections, managing repair processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also involves technical support, documentation, and collaboration with internal teams and external clients to deliver high-quality technical solutions. Regular communication with stakeholders, analysis of technical issues, and supervision of on-site activities are key aspects of this position.


Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical engineering, electrical systems, and piping within the maritime industry.
  • Proficiency in project management, including overseeing repairs, upgrades, and dry-docking processes.
  • Experience with compliance standards, safety regulations, and marine equipment calibration.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and operational issues effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Proficiency in software and tools relevant to marine engineering and ship maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and in dynamic team environments, with flexibility to travel to ports or repair sites as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Professional certifications in marine engineering or inspection are highly advantageous.
