Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Description Great Eastern Financial Advisers (GEFA), officially launched in 2011, is one of Singapore’s largest financial advisory firms with a network of hundreds of financial consultants. It operates on a unique business model that combines the strengths of a major insurance company with the independence of a financial advisory firm. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Eastern Holdings and a member of the OCBC Group, GEFA benefits from strong financial backing and robust infrastructure. Customers gain access to insurance solutions and investment opportunities from more than 50 insurance companies and fund managers. This allows GEFA to offer a broad range of products and personalized advice while maintaining the high service standards associated with Great Eastern.
Role Description As an Intern at Great Eastern Financial Advisers Private Limited, you will support financial consultants and internal teams with research, analysis, and client servicing activities. On a day-to-day basis, you may assist in preparing financial proposals, presentations, and reports, as well as helping to gather and organize client information. You will contribute to market and product research, including comparing insurance and investment products from multiple providers. The internship also includes administrative support, such as scheduling, documentation, and data entry, while learning about compliance and regulatory requirements in the financial advisory industry. This is an internship role based on-site in Singapore, providing hands-on exposure to financial advisory operations and client engagement.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and research abilities, with interest in financial products, insurance, and investments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort working with data and basic spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
  • Positive learning attitude, professionalism, and ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Current undergraduate or recent graduate in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Interest in building a career in financial advisory or related financial services roles in Singapore.
