Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating import and export operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and facilitating smooth customs clearance processes. The role involves managing documentation, liaising with government authorities, coordinating with logistics partners, and providing professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant trade activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end import and export operations, including the preparation, verification, and submission of all required customs documentation such as declarations, invoices, permits, and shipping documents.
  • Ensure full compliance with customs laws, regulations, and trade requirements by accurately classifying goods, determining applicable duties and taxes, and securing necessary licenses and permits.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the company, customs authorities, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate timely customs clearance and resolve operational issues effectively.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance on customs regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements to internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate closely with shipping, logistics, and freight forwarding partners to ensure the efficient movement of goods and timely completion of customs clearance processes.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all import and export transactions, ensuring proper filing and archiving of supporting documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Monitor and stay informed of changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, tariff schedules, and industry developments to ensure ongoing compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve customs-related discrepancies, errors, and exceptions, communicating findings and recommendations to management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all documentation, filing, end-of-day tasks, and operational reports are completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Prepare and submit operational, compliance, and management reports as required.
  • Support the implementation and compliance of the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System policies and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Undertake additional duties, projects, and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
