About The Role

Responsible for accounting and reporting of Corporate Solution (“CS”) and AIA Health Services Sdn. Bhd. (“AHS”) in a timely manner in accordance to established accounting standard.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day CS and AHS reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate completed of deliverables in compliance with applicable accounting standards and group policies .
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial templates to Group Office on IFRS, Local Reporting Team for Bank Negara Submission and preparing the local statutory reports for AHS, including annual financial statements.
  • Perform reviews on variance analysis of the monthly financial results and proactive liaise with other departments to obtain information to substantiate the results.
  • Prepare clear and concise reporting materials for internal and external stakeholders. Present financial insights, updates and implication clearly to support decision-making and ensure transparency.
  • Review and validate monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to recommend appropriate solutions to ensure financial integrity.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within reporting and reconciliation processes. Collaborate with finance systems teams to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy through digital tools.
  • Lead and support the implementation of process improvement initiatives, collaborating across departments to ensure new efforts integrate robust financial controls, automation and efficient workflows while aligning with business needs for the respective areas.
  • Assist team lead to monitor and report on the progress of product and system enhancements for CS and AHS, providing input on financial impact and implementation readiness.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma and Professional Degree in Accounting and Finance with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel, Power Point and SAP are added advantage
  • Able to work independently and in a team with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team and work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Possess good presentation skills to clearly articulate any abnormalities in reporting numbers/data
