KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

IT TRANSFORMATION & PROGRAMME DELIVERY

  1. Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT transformation programmes, including major system upgrades, platform migrations, and business application overhauls — from requirements definition through implementation, testing, and post-go-live stabilisation.
  2. Serve as the primary IT project lead for business-critical technology initiatives; manage implementation partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  3. Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other business functions to define technology requirements and ensure solutions are fit for operational purpose.
  4. Drive post-implementation adoption, user enablement, and continuous improvement of key business systems.
  5. Identify and lead initiatives that improve system integration, operational efficiency, and digital capability.

IT GOVERNANCE & STANDARDS

  1. Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and operational standards to ensure consistent, secure, and compliant IT practices across the Group.
  2. Own IT risk management — maintain a risk register, define mitigation plans, and provide regular reporting on IT risk and controls to senior leadership.
  3. Define and uphold documentation standards covering system architecture, process flows, change management records, and IT policies.

IT OPERATIONS & INFRASTRUCTURE

  1. Manage and maintain all IT infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud environments, and end-user devices across company operations.
  2. Oversee IT helpdesk and service desk functions, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  3. Manage IT vendors, service contracts, and licensing agreements; evaluate and recommend technology solutions.
  4. Ensure system uptime, performance, and business continuity through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

CYBERSECURITY & COMPLIANCE

  1. Implement and maintain IT security policies, access controls, and data protection measures in line with Group standards.
  2. Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats; conduct regular vulnerability assessments and audits.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and IT governance regulations (e.g. PDPA Singapore) and equivalent local regulations.

AI ADOPTION & ENABLEMENT

  1. Assess and identify opportunities to introduce AI tools and capabilities that improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and employee productivity across the organisation.
  2. Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI solutions in a pragmatic and phased manner — balancing innovation with practicality, cost, and risk.
  3. Work with business units to understand workflows and identify where AI can create the most meaningful impact; translate use cases into concrete implementation plans.
  4. Drive change management and user adoption for AI tools — ensuring employees are equipped, confident, and supported in using new capabilities.
  5. Establish guardrails, usage policies, and governance standards for AI adoption to ensure responsible and compliant use across the organisation.
  6. Stay current on AI developments and emerging tools; bring informed, grounded recommendations to leadership on where and how to invest.

TEAM & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  1. Lead and develop the IT team; provide day-to-day guidance, performance management, and capability development.
  2. Provide regular reporting on IT performance, incidents, projects, and risk to the Head of Department.
  3. Build and maintain effective working relationships with IT counterparts and business stakeholders across markets as cross-market responsibilities develop.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior individual contributor role
  • Proven hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and systems administration
  • Experience managing IT vendors and service contracts
  • Experience in a multi-site or group company environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls)
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection compliance
  • Experience with ERP or POS systems is an advantage
