Job Summary 


The Manager, Ecosystems is responsible for driving the adoption and growth of UNGCMYB’s ecosystem programmes. These pioneering programmes advance the business case for sustainability by addressing shared challenges and shifting ecosystem behaviour. This role is responsible for identifying prospects, engaging companies, and converting leads by clearly articulating the value, relevance, and impact of UNGCMYB’s ecosystem programmes in alignment with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


Key Responsibilities


  • Identify and engage potential corporate participants across priority sectors and industries.
  • Manage the full sales cycle for ecosystem programmes, from lead generation and outreach through pitching, negotiation, and closing.
  • Clearly articulate the strategic relevance and value of ecosystem programmes, linking sustainability outcomes to business priorities.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches, presentations, and proposals tailored to different corporate audiences.
  • Maintain and manage a strong sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and conversions to ensure consistent performance.
  • Gather market feedback and insights from sales conversations to inform programme positioning, messaging, and future offerings.
  • Represent UNGCMYB at relevant events and briefings to promote ecosystem programmes and generate sales leads.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and updates on pipeline status and performance against targets.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sustainability or a related field.
  • Experience in sales and business development roles, preferably involving services, programmes, or solution-based offerings.
  • Excellent prospecting, lead generation, and conversion skills, including managing a full sales cycle from outreach to closing.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with confidence engaging mid- to senior-level corporate stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of sustainability and ESG topics, with the ability to connect these to commercial priorities and business outcomes.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple sales opportunities concurrently.
