Responsibilities

Role Overview

The IT Infrastructure Engineer will own the day-to-day operations support, maintenance and support of our hybrid IT Infrastructure within a Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will be the L1 technical resource responsible for keeping our Azure, M365 Tenants, Virtual machines in On-premises infrastructure, Security & network appliances. This is an entry-level role ideal for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in a regulated industry.


You will work closely with the IT Manager and other cross-functional departments delivering fast, professional support to all staff across the organisation to ensure systems run smoothly, securely and in compliance with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software systems. Provide first-level technical support to users and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Provide day-to-day IT support for employees, including setting up workstations, managing user accounts, and resolving technical issues
  • Perform remote and on-site troubleshooting for end-users (Windows 10/11 laptops, mobile devices, other peripherals
  • Manage and support administration of the Microsoft 365 tenant (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Defender for Endpoint/Cloud Apps, etc.).
  • Administer and support Fortinet or equivalent firewalls
  • Manage and support enterprise wireless infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilisation, and wireless coverage across the office.
  • Ensure patching compliance across servers, endpoints, and network appliances.
  • Monitor security logs and alerts from Azure, Microsoft Defender, Firewall and WiFi/network appliances.
  • Participate in vulnerability scanning, remediation, and security audits.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT systems, configurations, incidents, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Liaise with external vendors for basic support tasks and service requests, under supervision.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT support or Infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Windows Servers, VMs, Networking, M365 Tenants, Intune, Defender, etc.,
  • Good working knowledge in networking infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, wireless standards).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Awareness of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a structured and regulated environment.
