Responsibilities

Job Title: Procurement Executive (Construction Industry)

Job Summary

The Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. This role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with project specifications and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and suppliers.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation of procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand project needs and timelines.
  • Monitor delivery schedules to ensure materials are supplied on time to project sites.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers for long-term collaboration.
  • Track and control procurement costs to align with project budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Handle supplier performance evaluation and resolve any supply or quality issues.
  • Maintain proper records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction or M&E industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with construction materials and equipment is an advantage.
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and procurement systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in project-based procurement and cost control.
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven construction environment.
