Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development, enhancement, deployment, and operational support of internal observability and automation platforms. The role will involve full-stack software development, ITSM data integration, log/data pipeline configuration, cloud deployment support, and collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, container, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain internal software features for observability, automation, and IT operations platforms.
  • Build frontend components using React
  • Develop backend services and APIs using Express.js and Elastic
  • Configure and support data ingestion pipelines using Elastic Stack, Logstash, or equivalent log/data processing tools.
  • Integrate ITSM and operational data sources, including ServiceNow, to improve reporting accuracy and operational visibility.
  • Support automation initiatives to reduce manual IT operations reporting and improve process efficiency.
  • Work with cloud, container, and infrastructure teams to support production deployment, integration, and platform readiness.
  • Assist in troubleshooting application defects, deployment issues, data pipeline failures, and platform usability issues.
  • Support UI/UX enhancements for internal engineering platforms used by technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with external vendors on documentation, defect resolution, platform support, and operational handover matters.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for application features, data flows, deployment activities, and support processes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Full-stack development using React for frontend, Express.js for backend APIs, and Elastic Stack for data ingestion, search, observability, and operational reporting.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, web application architecture, and integration between frontend and backend systems.
  • Exposure to Elastic Stack, Logstash, observability tools, logging platforms, dashboards, or data ingestion pipelines.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, ITSM workflows, incident/change/request data, or operational reporting.
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud or container technologies such as AWS, Docker, or equivalent deployment environments.
  • Understanding of software testing, version control, and documentation practices.
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams across software, cloud, infrastructure, operations, and vendor support.

Good to Have

  • Experience building internal tools, automation platforms, observability platforms, or IT operations dashboards.
  • Exposure to Python automation using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Selenium, or equivalent.
  • Experience with unit or integration testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of DevOps, SRE, monitoring, cloud operations, or production support.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
