Job Description

Requirements

 Who You Are

  • An Automation & Logic Master: You have deep, hands-on experience building multi-step automations using Claude and Perplexity, or similar workflow platforms. You don't just use software web interfaces; you understand how systems talk to each other via APIs and webhooks.
  • A Creative & Technical Hybrid: You easily understand agency culture, social media trends, content pipelines, and marketing intent—but you are equally comfortable reading software documentation, setting up logical conditional rules, handling structured data, or debugging a broken data relay.
  • Data & System Fluent: You have a natural instinct for organized structures. You are a wizard with structured data environments (Notion databases, Airtable, or advanced Google Sheets) and understand how to cleanly push and pull data across multiple platforms.
  • Process-Minded: When you see a colleague manually copying data from one window to another, or spending hours manually organizing client assets, your immediate instinct is to ask: How do we build an automated workflow to make this run itself?
  • Clear Communicator & Documenter: You will be the bridge between technology and creativity. You need excellent communication skills to explain technical automation concepts to non-technical creatives, alongside the discipline to write crystal-clear, scannable documentation for the tools you build.

Who We're Looking For

  • Thinks beyond simple task execution and looks at the entire system.
  • Is genuinely curious about brands, digital culture, and emerging operational tech.
  • Can directly connect technical workflows to positive business outcomes.
  • Is highly structured, deeply organized, and fiercely detail-oriented.
  • Communicates clearly, confidently, and concisely without corporate jargon.
  • Takes immediate ownership of problems instead of waiting for a checklist.
  • Wants to play a foundational role in defining the future of an innovative agency.

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Genuinely enjoy high-level problem-solving and technical experimentation with new tools.
  • Like working in a fast-paced, high-performance creative agency environment.
  • Want to build meaningful, live automated systems rather than just clocking in for a routine job.
  • Are completely comfortable with rapid feedback loops and continuous improvement.

This role is NOT for you if:

  • You prefer purely routine, static, or exceptional tasks.
  • You constantly wait for step-by-step instructions instead of taking the initiative.
  • You are not interested in agency strategy, scaling output, or big-picture thinking.
  • You actively avoid individual accountability or ownership of a project.
  • You struggle with fast-moving, adaptive environments where priorities can pivot.
  • You are simply looking for a predictable, routine, "stable maintenance" job.

Why Join Tinker Society?

You won’t be writing theoretical code or building systems that sit gathering dust in a slide deck. You will be the core architect building the operational and automation layer at an independent agency that is actively betting its future on efficiency.

Your systems will run directly in production, saving hundreds of collective hours for our team, optimizing our client campaigns, and directly shaping how our entire agency ecosystem operates. We are a fast-moving, high-impact team—the ceiling here is exactly as high as your capacity to build.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

Tinker Society is a creative powerhouse, digital marketing engine, and production house delivering work that connects and converts across social media, branding, and performance marketing. We are in the middle of a digital-first operational transformation—and we need someone who lives at the intersection of creative media, tool optimization, data, and agency workflows to help our team and our clients move at lightning speed.

This is not a traditional administrative or basic coordination role. We are looking for an Operations & Automation Lead / Workflow Engineer who can break down the complex, multi-step processes across our creative, production, and marketing teams, design clean workflows around them, and automate them end-to-end. You will sit at the absolute core of our future-focused agency positioning, driving internal transformation and building the systems that make our talent unforgettably efficient.

What You’ll Do

  • Streamline & Automate Agency Workflows: Sit with our creative, digital marketing, and multimedia production teams. Map out exactly where time is being lost to manual execution, and build modern automations to completely eliminate it.
  • Architect with Low-Code & Cloud Integrations: Act as our ultimate power user and systems architect for platforms like Claude and Perplexity. You will chain workflows together, connect software APIs, handle webhooks, and integrate our tool stack seamlessly into Slack, Notion, our internal databases, and client CRMs.
  • Own and Optimize the Agency Tech Stack: Take full operational ownership of our agency's toolkit. You will manage, optimize, and streamline access, templates, and pipelines across:
    • Productivity & Knowledge: Notion, Slack, and Workspace platforms.
    • Creative Production Pipelines: Supporting workflows for creative asset and video management platforms.
    • Connections & Automation: Claude and Perplexity, messaging integrations, and CRM dashboards.
  • Build Custom Workflows & Dashboards: Design and deploy smart internal integrations (like automated Slack notifications or data relays) to assist teams with instant asset tracking or brief generation. Build clean, automated dashboards that track performance metrics so our strategic insights flow automatically.
  • Drive Agency Innovation & Team Training: Turn your custom workflows into highly practical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Run internal workshops and training sessions for the rest of the team so the productivity gains compound across all of Tinker Society, upskilling everyone from copywriters to video editors.

Stay on the Operational Frontier: We move fast, and the digital landscape changes weekly. You will actively track new software releases, automation updates, and productivity tools. Test them against real Tinker Society problems, and strategically decide what is worth adopting.
