Founded in 1992, SBHK is a non-profit organization, which aims to improve the educational trajectories of underprivileged students by providing them with tuition-free student-teaching-student English immersion summer programs that delivers high-quality English language education, leadership and life skills development opportunities, and access to transformative educational experiences that help students thrive in school and beyond. For our student teachers, it aims to foster cross-cultural exchange and a sense of civic duty.
Role Overview
The Program Manager will work with the Summerbridge team to share operational and administrative duties for the organization’s educational programs. Responsibilities include the recruitment and supervision of students and staff for the organization’s various programs, including the Summer Program, School Year Program, and Sponsor Engagements. Program Managers are also active in staff training, fiscal management, fundraising, and curriculum development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline;
Experience working with local secondary school-aged youth; previous Summerbridge Hong Kong experience an advantage;
Relevant experience teaching, counselling, or managing groups of university-aged students from diverse backgrounds, with overseas experience preferred;
Great people skills, and proven abilities in relationship management;
Excellent presentation skills, communication skills, writing skills, and attention to detail; and
Fluency in English with strong communication skills (verbal and written) a must; fluency in Cantonese a plus.
