Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure direct and indirect materials, components, equipment, and services according to business requirements.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, delivery schedules, and shipment status.
• Work closely with Planning, Production, Warehouse, and Engineering teams to support operational requirements.
• Manage material shortages and expedite critical shipments when necessary.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and supply agreements with suppliers.
• Conduct supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance reviews.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in ERP/SAP systems.
• Analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support inventory management by balancing stock availability and inventory carrying costs.
• Participate in supplier audits and business reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) by sourcing new materials and suppliers.
• Prepare purchasing reports, KPI tracking, and management updates.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience handling local and overseas suppliers.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good command of English; Mandarin is an advantage when dealing with China suppliers.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
