Job Description

Responsibilities

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing interior fit-out and construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring effective project control, subcontractor coordination, contract administration, documentation management, and smooth project execution within budget, timeline, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the construction phase of projects from commencement to completion;
  • Review project requirements, identify project risks, and plan execution strategies from tender stage through final handover;
  • Prepare and evaluate project cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and progress claims;
  • Coordinate and supervise site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications;
  • Lead and support site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution;
  • Monitor project schedules, progress updates, and resource allocation including manpower, materials, and equipment;
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials, tools, and project resources to site;
  • Conduct site inspections, investigations, and assessments to maintain quality and safety standards;
  • Prepare project documentation and reports including schedules, work progress, variations, implementation updates, and issue tracking;
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, consultants, clients, and contractors regarding project progress and coordination matters;
  • Implement company procedures, best practices, and compliance requirements throughout project execution;
  • Willing to travel or be stationed outstation based on project requirements;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Preferably minimum with 3 years' working experience in the Interiors Fit-Out/renovation industry or related field is required for this position.
  • Candidate must have initiative, responsible, hardworking and can work independently.
  • Good communication, self-motivated and interpersonal skill.
  • Willing to travel and preferably willing to work outstation as and when is required. Working location may varies.
  • Preferably candidates who are proficient in Microsoft Project.
