Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Program Engineer role based in Johor, Malaysia. The Program Engineer will coordinate and manage customer programs from design and NPI through mass production, ensuring technical feasibility, product quality, and on-time delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating customer requirements into engineering specifications, collaborating with systems and mechanical engineering teams, and supporting design for manufacturability (DFM) and process optimization. The role involves monitoring project schedules and budgets, preparing technical documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with production, quality, and supply chain teams. The Program Engineer will also analyze performance data, address technical issues, and maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications

  • Strong program and project management skills, including experience with Program Management and Project Management in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Solid systems-oriented engineering capabilities, including Systems Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, with experience in PCBA, box-build, or related electronic products.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including data-driven problem solving, root-cause analysis, and use of metrics to monitor program performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Systems, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in EMS, OEM, or electronics manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with NPI processes, DFM/DFT principles, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, IPC) is an advantage.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, quality, and customer teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in Johor, Malaysia, and manage multiple programs in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
