Job Summary:

The Café Operator/Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment, and delivering excellent customer service. This role may also include basic café operations such as inventory handling, cash transactions, and assisting with daily business activities.

Requirements & Skills:

• Previous experience as a barista or in food & beverage service (preferred but not required).
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso machines.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays (if required)

Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation:

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and other beverages to standard recipes.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all beverages.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
• Offer menu recommendations and answer customer inquiries.
• Handle customer feedback or complaints in a professional and friendly manner.

Cleanliness & Hygiene:

• Maintain cleanliness of the café, including counters, equipment, and dining area.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies.

Operations Support:

• Assist in stock management, inventory checks, and restocking supplies.
• Handle cash register, payments, and basic POS system operations.
• Support opening and closing procedures of the café.

Teamwork:

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist other staff during busy periods.

Working days:

• Five (5) working days
• 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
