Responsibilities
Main duties
1. QC Planning & Coordination
· To oversee the inspection and verification roles and quality related issues to ensure contract works comply with drawings.
· Arrange / purchase of material for QC of precast components;
· Liaise with sub-contractors/customers on site quality issues and carry out investigation to identify causes of complaints and seek for solution and correction of defective works.
· Verify that non-conformance is reworked and acceptable for closure.
· To attend site progress meetings with client, consultant and sub-contractors
· Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for projects.
2. Supervision & Workforce Management
· Manage a team of QC supervisors/inspectors to carry out QC inspection.
· Monitor workforce productivity and discipline, and provide guidance or training when required.
· Coordinate shift arrangements and ensure adequate manpower coverage.
3. Quality Control Support
· Ensure production activities comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
· Liaise with Production department to close and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and Analyze root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
· Support continuous improvement in quality control practices and procedures.
· Conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections audit in order to make sure the process follow the Production SOP and compliance;
4. Interdepartmental Coordination
· Report product quality issues, and work with engineers to carry out root cause analysis to determine causes of defects.
· Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.
5. Material & Resource Management
· Monitor availability of raw materials, inserts, accessories, and consumables required for production.
· Assist in reducing material wastage and ensuring proper storage and handling of materials.
· Coordinate with the procurement team for timely supply of critical items.
· Prepare and maintain all production and inventory records to ensure sufficient buildup of stock as per Project’s requirement;
· Investigate and correct any discrepancies between physical stock and system records;
6. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving
· Identify bottlenecks and issues in QC and take prompt action to resolve them.
· Escalate major issues to the QC Manager and provide support in implementing solutions.
7. Health, Safety & Housekeeping
· Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety standards and practices.
· Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a safe working environment.
· Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the production area.
· Monitor and make sure the workers & staffs work in safe environment with good PPE condition.
8. Reporting & Documentation
· Prepare and maintain production reports, daily progress logs, and casting records.
· To ensure all filing and documentations are in compliance with the Department operation and ISO procedure
9. Training & Development
· Support the development and training of QC staff to improve skill levels and job efficiency.
· Conduct briefings and toolbox talks to ensure understanding of work procedures and safety.
10. Other Duties
· Carry out any additional responsibilities as delegated by the Senior QC Engineer/QC Manager.
· Company reserves the right to change, amend, modify stated above at any time.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
