Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of hot kitchen dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, portioning, and storing food items.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented in accordance with quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with stock rotation using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
• Monitor food quality and report any shortages or issues to the Chef de Partie.
• Support the kitchen team during service periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Minimize food wastage and contribute to cost-control efforts.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Management.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Culinary Arts or Hospitality is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hot kitchen environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
