Job Summary
The Logistic Assistant is responsible for supporting daily logistics and warehouse operations, including coordinating deliveries, monitoring inventory, preparing shipping documents, and ensuring smooth movement of goods between suppliers, warehouses, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Prepare delivery orders (DO), goods received notes (GRN), and other logistics documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control activities.
- Update and maintain logistics records in the system and filing.
- Liaise with transporters, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment schedules.
- Ensure timely arrangement of transportation and delivery of goods.
- Assist in conducting stock counts and inventory audits.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, road tax, insurance, and service records (if applicable).
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or delays to the superior.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM/STPM/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 1 year of working experience in logistics, warehouse, or inventory management is preferred.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiar with inventory management systems is an added advantage.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
