Job Description

Responsibilities

Order Management

• Advises on customer inquiries, creates offers for the customer and oversees

customer orders in the ERP system and determines the delivery dates to fulfill

the customer order at the requested date.

• Doing preliminary technical clarification, commercial clarification incl.

creditworthiness, export control checks, determination of delivery dates,

reservation of inventory and, if applicable, manufacturing capacities,

information regarding oer validity to create the prerequisites for closing a

contract.

• Controls order-related compliance of the delivery dates and quantities to

initiate proactive measures for optimizing delivery reliability in good time.

• Controls delivery dates and initiates deliveries in a timely manner to ensure

delivery reliability to the customer.

• Arranges invoicing to the customer, performing the related post-calculation,

controlling order cost receipt and utilizing additional charges to optimize the

value flow and show a correct margin.

• Plans the design of logistics and transport concepts with the customer in

cooperation with logistics process, packaging, transport handling to safeguard

the delivery process, minimize costs and create an optimum logistics chain.


Logistics

• Analyzes and constantly optimizes the organizations processes to enhance

performance.

• Establishes, monitors, updates, and benchmarks metrics, and derives and

proposes measures to improve.

• Provides analyses as required by Supply Chain Management.

• Proposes and takes over responsibility for defined and assigned improvement

projects.

• Initiates and implements supplier improvement programs.

• Establishes operational vendor relations, identifies and resolves vendor

conflicts.

• Establishes SCM oriented customer relations in order to meet customer

expectations.

• Cooperates with the internal Procurement, Controlling and Logistics functions

to ensure acceptance of and adherence to SC processes, guidelines, and tools.

• Communicates with external auditors in accordance with the superior.

• Contributes to projects, work groups and the training of new employees in the

area of expertise.
