Project Manager (Contract, 3–6 Months)
Location: Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of major promotional and business events for an international organization. This role involves overseeing project activities, managing stakeholder engagement, coordinating outreach initiatives, and ensuring smooth delivery of project objectives within the assigned timeline.
You’ll play a key role in connecting businesses, supporting international trade initiatives, and ensuring that high-profile events run seamlessly
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project activities from planning through execution.
- Develop recruitment strategies to attract participants for large-scale promotional events in 2026.
- Build stakeholder relationships with government agencies, chambers, associations, media partners, and corporations.
- Coordinate outreach programs, market visits, and promotional activities.
- Conduct market research and provide insights to support event planning.
- Facilitate business matching meetings between relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members.
- Perform other project-related and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, event management, stakeholder engagement, or business development.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Flexible to work beyond office hours when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with government agencies, trade organizations, chambers of commerce, or international business events.
- Familiarity with business matching, trade promotion, or exhibition-related projects is an advantage.
Additional Information
- Travel: Project Manager & Project Assistant will travel to Shangri-La to monitor event setup (transport provided by office car).
- Outreach Activities: Travel required for stakeholder engagement (office car provided).
