KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, manage, and optimize relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure SPEED operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
- Enhance supplier performance, develop vendor programs, ensuring quality and reliability, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement to support the overall success of the Company.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure seamless business continuity for SPEED.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance through capacity building, quality enhancement, and process optimization, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings while enhancing the quality and reliability of supply.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with supplier and vendor relationships, ensuring business continuity and minimizing potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Ensure suppliers consistently meet required quality standards and comply with industry regulations, driving continuous improvement in supplier quality management.
- Implement initiatives to identify and onboard new suppliers that align with the company’s long-term goals, expanding the supplier base as needed.
- Work closely with teams across procurement, logistics, quality, and finance to ensure supplier activities align with business needs and objectives.
- Lead initiatives to develop supplier capabilities, fostering innovation and collaboration to support the company’s growth and competitive advantage.
- Design, launch, and manage vendor development programs aimed at enhancing collaboration, increasing product and service offerings, and creating joint value propositions that drive additional revenue streams.
- Collaborate with vendors to create opportunities for co-marketing and co-selling, leveraging mutual strengths to penetrate new markets or expand within existing ones.
- Develop incentive programs that encourage vendors to achieve higher sales volumes or enter exclusive agreements, driving additional revenue for both parties.
- Ensure vendor activities align with business needs and contribute to revenue growth objectives by working closely with procurement, logistics, quality, sales, and finance teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 8-10 years in supply chain principles, business operations and vendor management.
- Expertise in strategies to enhance supplier capabilities, focusing on capacity building, quality improvement, and fostering innovation.
- Proficiency in key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
- In-depth understanding of how to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks related to suppliers, covering financial, operational, and geopolitical factors.
