Role Description


This is a contract Junior Executive, Business Development role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines time in the office with some work-from-home flexibility. The Jr Business Development team member will support the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities in the Govtech and Fintech space, including market research, lead generation, and competitor analysis. The role involves preparing pitch decks, proposals, and supporting documents for potential partners, clients, and government agencies. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating the sales pipeline and CRM records, coordinating meetings, and following up with prospects to support relationship-building and deal progression. The role will also assist in internal reporting, preparing business performance summaries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, marketing, and operations to support go-to-market activities.


Qualifications

  • Strong interest in Govtech, Fintech, and digital transformation, with the motivation to learn and grow in business development.
  • Solid communication and presentation abilities, including clear written and verbal communication and confidence in speaking with stakeholders.
  • Analytical and research skills, including basic data analysis, market research, and the ability to synthesize findings into clear insights.
  • Organization and coordination skills, including time management, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfort with productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM or tracking tools) and willingness to learn new platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, with a proactive and professional approach to teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
  • Prior internship or junior experience in business development, sales, consulting, or partnerships is an advantage, especially within technology or financial services.
