Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for productivity improvement, waste reduction, cost savings, and quality enhancement within manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Conduct process studies, time studies, and workflow analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Develop and implement process improvement projects to improve operational performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvements.

2. New Product & Process Development

  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Evaluate manufacturing feasibility and process capability for new products.
  • Develop and optimize production and assembly processes after initial mass production.
  • Recommend process modifications to improve productivity, quality, and manufacturability.

3. Material & Packaging Evaluation

  • Coordinate trials and testing of new raw materials, components, and packaging materials.
  • Analyze trial results and prepare recommendations for implementation.

4. Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and monitor improvement projects according to agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate resources and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
  • Track project savings and performance improvements.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Production, Mechatronics, Polymer Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • 3–8 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, continuous improvement, project engineering, or plastic injection moulding environments.
  • Fresh graduates with strong engineering fundamentals, relevant internship/industrial training experience, and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experienced in process optimization, productivity improvement, waste reduction, cost savings, and quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Skilled in conducting process studies, time studies, workflow analysis, and root cause investigations.
  • Proficient in production data analysis, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in new product introduction (NPI), process development, and manufacturing feasibility evaluation.
  • Capable of planning, executing, and managing improvement projects with measurable business impact.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in plastic manufacturing, assembly operations, or high-volume manufacturing environments is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
