Job Description – Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to work in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
• Lead and mentor a team of 5–7 engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize applications using Java Backend technologies and Python.
• Write efficient and complex SQL queries for data processing and analysis.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best engineering practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10–12 years of software engineering experience.
• Prior experience leading teams of 5–7 members is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in Java Backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong SQL knowledge and database handling experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working in enterprise-level environments.

Mandatory Industry Experience

Candidates must have experience in one or more of the following industries:

• Private Equity
• Banking
• Insurance
• E-commerce

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computing, Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Candidate Preferences

• Candidates with stable career progression are preferred.
• Avoid profiles with frequent job changes.
