About the Role
Kuala Lumpur is home to KPMG’s ASPAC Compliance Delivery Centre (“ACDC”), which provides Indirect Tax compliance services across the Asia Pacific region. The team is culturally diverse, bringing together professionals from various nationalities and backgrounds, supported by advanced technology, automation, and robust processes.
As a Business Analyst Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to process analysis, data insights, and digital-driven initiatives supporting regional tax compliance operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, improve workflows, and support data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support data gathering, validation, and analysis for operational and reporting purposes
- Assist in documenting business requirements, workflows, and process maps
- Support automation and digital initiatives within ACDC operations
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and data insights using Excel or relevant tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions
- Assist in testing system enhancements or process changes
- Support project coordination and documentation tracking
- Participate in KDN learning and development programmes
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in:
- Information Technology / Computer Science
- Business Analytics / Data Analytics
- Applied Mathematics / Statistics
- Information Systems / Business Information Systems
- Or other related analytical disciplines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions)
- Basic understanding of data analysis and process mapping concepts
- Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or automation tools is an advantage
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and adapt to change
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Availability Requirement
- Able to commit to an internship starting mid-June to early July 2026
Additional Advantage (Highly Preferred)
- Proficiency in Mandarin, Arabic, or Thai (spoken / conversational level)
- Other Asian language capabilities (e.g., Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese) are a plus
