At AstraZeneca, we foster a workplace culture built on innovation, collaboration, and inclusion. Our people are encouraged to bring diverse perspectives, contribute ideas, and make a meaningful impact in an environment where they are valued, energised, and supported to grow.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Risk Intern to join our Global Finance Services (GFS) team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in credit risk management within a global finance environment.

As a Credit Risk Intern, you will support the team in reviewing and monitoring customer accounts, maintaining credit data, resolving account-related queries, and assisting with reporting and analysis. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders and gain exposure to how credit risk supports business growth while helping to manage financial risk.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Support credit reviews for assigned customer accounts in line with the established review schedule
  • Monitor account status and credit alerts, and escalate significant risks where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit master data and records
  • Assist in preparing and analysing monthly credit risk reports to ensure proper risk categorisation, timely reviews, and sufficient credit limits
  • Support the resolution of account-related queries and issues in accordance with company policies and guidelines
  • Assist with day-to-day credit risk activities, including adjustments, administrative support, and ad hoc requests
  • Work closely with the Credit Risk Team Leader and support the wider team on operational matters
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including commercial teams, to support business needs while helping minimise doubtful debt and manage customer credit exposure
  • Support compliance activities and internal controls where required

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Finance and Accounting, or an equivalent qualification
  • Able to commit to a full-time internship for 6 months, in line with university requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Exposure to finance, B2B operations, or shared service environments would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of SAP, D&B, Celonis, or Power BI would be an added advantage

Why Join Us

This internship is a great opportunity to build practical experience in a global organisation and develop your understanding of credit risk, finance operations, and cross-functional collaboration. You will gain valuable exposure to real business processes, work alongside experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful work in a company that is committed to improving lives through science.
